Terms of Service
Version 2026-07 · Effective July 17, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Mirror. By creating an account, buying a subscription, or otherwise using Mirror, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Mirror is
Mirror provides self-discovery questionnaires and personalized reflections based on your answers. Mirror is not a medical or mental-health service. Its assessments are not scientifically validated psychometric instruments, diagnoses, treatment, employment screening, or medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Do not rely on a Mirror result as the sole basis for an important decision.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter this agreement. Provide accurate account information, keep access to your email secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account.
4. Subscriptions and cancellation
Paid plans, prices, billing intervals, taxes, and included features are shown before checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel from Settings under Manage subscription; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Except where the law requires otherwise, charges already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices or plan features with reasonable advance notice. Your statutory cancellation, withdrawal, and refund rights remain unaffected.
5. Your content and privacy
You keep any rights you have in the answers and other content you submit. You give Mirror a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and as described in the Privacy Policy. Participation in any research program requires a separate choice and is not a condition of these Terms.
You may choose to publish a limited result share card. You are responsible for that choice and may turn sharing off at any time.
6. Acceptable use
You may not:
- break the law or infringe another person's rights;
- submit content you do not have the right to provide, or use Mirror to assess someone without their knowledge;
- use Mirror for hiring, credit, insurance, healthcare, education, housing, or another high-impact decision about a person;
- probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or bypass the service or its security and access controls;
- reverse engineer or copy the assessment engine except where the law expressly permits it; or
- resell the service or generated results without permission.
7. Mirror's intellectual property
Mirror and its licensors own the service, branding, software, assessment design, and other materials we provide, excluding your content. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
8. Third-party services
Mirror relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payments, and AI processing. Their services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
9. Service changes and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Mirror. We may suspend or end access when you materially violate these Terms, create risk, or where required by law. You may stop using Mirror or delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Mirror is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate service. To the extent permitted by law, Mirror will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost- profit damages, and Mirror's total liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid Mirror in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Mirror changes. We will post the new version and give reasonable notice of material changes. Changes apply from their stated effective date. If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the service and cancel any subscription.
12. General and contact
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms are governed by applicable law, without taking away any mandatory protections you have as a consumer where you live.
